About Us
The Progressive Constitutional Law Society of HNLU was established in the year 2019. It is an initiative to educate students about the Constitution of India and the values of Constitutionalism. Upholding the four pillars of our constitution i.e. Liberty, Equality, Fraternity and Dignity, members of the society strive to foster independent academic thought and ignite conversations on matters of Constitutional law and Constitutional values. We undertake various exercises which raise awareness amongst students and the public about matters related to the Indian Constitution and parts of those activities are uploaded on this website as blogposts.

Neha Shetty
Neha is presently a fourth year student at HNLU-Raipur. She is an avid debater and a voracious reader. She's represented her University at various international and national moots including the Vis East Moot. Her interest areas include constitutional law and law of arbitration. She enjoys reading, discussing and debating issues concerning constitutional law. As a member at PCLS, she aims to connect with others who share a passion for the study of the Constitution. And as a Core member, she wishes to bring such like minded individuals together to foster active discussion on issues of Constitutional importance.

Saumitra Shirivastava
Saumitra identifies himself as a fan of commercial dispute resolution but a devotee of constitutional law. He has founded The Bridge Project Podcast and uses it to record podcasts on subjects which he believes are not taught at law schools. A bibliophile at heart, he also writes on various legal blogs and his own LinkedIn. As a Founding Member of PCLS, he wants to make the society a name in the online community. When he gets bored with his nerd interests, he likes to move out and play badminton.

Joyjeev Medhi
Joyjeev is a 4th year student of Hidayatullah National Law University. Apart from his love for Constitutional Law, he also has a passion for mooting and debating. Joyjeev heads the Student Editorial Board of the University and is the main reason why the University journal and blog is what it is today. Having grown up in Kolkata, he identifies himself as a Bengali only when it comes to justifying his love for football, otherwise he is Assamese.
Joyjeev is a 4th year student of Hidayatullah National Law University. Apart from his love for Constitutional Law, he also has a passion for mooting and debating. Shivangi Sharma
Shivangi is in the final year of law school at HNLU. Since early schooling days she has been active in the conversation surrounding social issues. Upon entering law school, she contributed to the causes of anti-ragging, mental health awareness and prevention of sexual harassment in educational institutions. She has also authored a book 'Wise upto combat child sexual abuse' and takes sessions on prevention of child sexual abuse in schools at her hometown. Her enthusiasm for women's rights, child rights and rights of the minority sparked her interest in constitutional law as well as human rights litigation. As a core committee member of the PCLS, Shivangi plans to encourage constructive discussions on the working of the Constitution.

Siddharth Shivakumar is a final year student at HNLU. He's been one of the constant voices in the debate circuit, having excelled in multiple debates over the past 5 years. He has also been an enthusiastic mooter, participating in national as well as international moot court competitions. His interests include intense discussions and debates on Law, Politics and Society. This developed into a deeper exploration of Constitutional law, which became his primary interest. As a member of the PCLS he aims to inspire and motivate students to develop a passion for nuanced discussion, rigorous research and focused examination of Constitutional law.
